Microprecision introduces chrome LEDs for rugged panel mount applications

Following its acquisition of the US based LEDCO division of Wilbrecht Electronics, Inc., Microprecision is introducing the popular series of chrome panel mount indicator lights to the European market. Made with a tough reflective, nickel-plated brass housing for 3mm and 5mm LEDs, the indicator lights are ideal for control panels, instrumentation and front panel fault indicators that are exposed to harsh environmental conditions. Equipped with a nitrile gasket/washer and sealed to IP66, the chrome LEDs are suitable for water-tight and high vibration applications.  

The rugged panel mount LEDs are available with daylight readable single colours, bicolour, tricolour, and blinking. The products are available with bare pins or wire leads which can be customized with a wide selection of connectors for fast installation in your application. Options include internal resistors for 5-60VDC and 120VAC, black matte housing finish, custom lead lengths and wire types, including avionics grade solution.

A lot of limit switch applications are under harsh conditions or outdoor use, which may damage the switch and require a maintenance exchange. As the series MP700 limit switches are IP67 sealed, an exchange also implies changing the wiring. This could mean on outdoor equipment changing several meters of cable. In order to facilitate the maintenance, Microprecision introduces on its models MP730 through MP760 the possibility to connect through a M12x1 Connector and still keep IP67 protection on the switch. The connector can be mounted on the side, but as an option also underside is possible. 

The MP700 series of limit switches are available with metal housing and a 5pin connector or with plastic housing   and a 4pin connector. Fixing holes can be either 20mm or 25mm apart. The switches care supplied with a large variety of actuator options and are conform to IEC 947-5-1 and EN 60 947-5-1.
